Annual Wine Awards 2026

We sent three wines to the Annual Wine Awards and held our breath through the blind tasting. The Riserva del Fondatore 2018 came home with gold, and the judges praised its balance of blackcurrant, leather and dried fig.

Winemaking, or vinification, is the production of wine: from selection of the fruit and its fermentation into alcohol to the bottling of the finished wine. An award only confirms what the vineyard already told us in September.
